WE DID IT!

Well, after a LONG day and a few troubles at the Title Company (they did D's name wrong), we finally closed and are the owners of our new home! We are very excited. So excited that we went over last night w/ flashlights!! he he

We have power and water now and just waiting on the gas man. I am going over and run the vacuum and just wipe down the baseboards a bit so we are ready for tomorrow.

I am sure it will be a while before I can post again, so Merry Christmas to you all!

Missing my Daddy!

Well, it is a good time and it's a very, very sad time. We are getting closer to closing and then we are upon the anniversary of my daddy's death. I truly miss him!

Daddy, I know you wish you were here and I do too. Trust me, I see you in so many ways. Especially when your namesake does something, I see you! I hope you are happy and feeling good up there and know that we are doing good. I think of you often and wish I could have just one more day with you, so you could see these beautiful children I have. You would be so proud of these girls and then you would be laughing so much over these boys. I hope you see us from up there and can share a laugh with us every once in a while. I love and miss you terribly!! Your baby girl, Shannon.

Moving on........

Well, the 2nd Annual Block party was a hit! We had a great time and will have tons of memories to share for a long time. It's great to have such great friends/neighbors that are very special to us. We are going to miss them, BUT as I keep reminding them, we will only be a little over a mile away, so there aren't any excuses as to why they can't come visit. Plus we will have plenty of room.

We have started collecting boxes and showing this house to potential renters. I am now in the stage where I can't figure out where to start packing. YUCK!

We have gotten our amendment squared away and gave them an extra 5 days to get the repairs done.

We are getting closer and 2 weeks from tomorrow should be closing!
