Snow........

Yesterday was an amazing day! I started out pretty down, it was the 5 year anniversary that my Daddy died. I didn't mention it to the girls before school because I knew what it would do to them. Savannah had an orthodontist appointment, so I got some one on one time with her. We took the boys to school and headed to her appointment, then we ran a couple errands together, Had to take advantage of the moment. When they got home from school it had started sleeting and then it came........................snow! It's hard for people to understand what it means when I see snow. I went home to go to my Daddy's funeral (had met Dwayne 2 weeks prior) and my neices and nephews wanted to go skiing, so we headed up to Wintergreen. Dwayne drove us all in his 4 wheel drive Expedition. It snowed all the way there as he held my hand and said that everything would be okay. We spend the day on the slopes (me, on my butt) and then headed home. I came back to Texas and started living my life without my father, which is a very hard thing to do. My Daddy was an incredible man and I love and miss him very much.

The next time the snow came was Christmas Eve 2004. I was in the hospital pregnant with the twins. Dwayne had just brought the girls up to see me and open a couple presents and then they headed back home to go to bed and wait for Santa, when a nurse came in and said it was snowing and opened my curtains for me to see. I felt that was my Daddy telling me that we were going to be fine and I was not alone that night.

Then December 10, 2008, the 5 year anniversary of my Daddy's death, he showed us again, that he was thinking of us and knowing how much we miss our family, that we were missed as well. The kids and I played out in the snow and knew exactly what it meant, I think the hardest part was Dwayne was not at home with us. He knew exactly what it meant too and we wanted to all be together.

We miss our family so terribly bad and both of our mothers are not in the best of health, so knowing that Daddy is up there and Dwayne's Daddy is up there watching over them and us it helps, a little bit. December 2nd marked 18 years I have been in Texas and I don't want to be here. My family is the best family a person can have, we are all very close and are always together when I am there. My mother, is my WORLD! I love her more than words can describe and I do not even want to think of what I will do when she is gone! I just want to share my children with her so that she has that life in her. When she is here and around the kids, she is so ALIVE and loves doing things. When she is home, she doesn't do much because she is so lonely. It's so sad and breaks my heart. Her Daddy is still living (96) and she doesn't want to leave because something could happen. I think back at the times I missed with my Daddy and that times that my children have missed and are missing with their grandparents (here and there) and it just really sucks that my children do not have what we all had when we grew up. I remember going fishing and shopping with my grandparents all the time and it's a love that is indescribable. Savannah is VERY close to her Big Papa and she has told everyone and made it clear that if anything happens, she will be there for him. What sucks, is the costs of getting there..............I get down quite often and sit here and just cry because I made some big mistakes and hate myself for them, but I have to deal with what cards I have been dealt.

I WILL be with my family again and I just hope it's not too late when I do.

God Bless you Daddy and thank you for such a great day and letting me know you were thinking of us! I LOVE YOU!

Boy oh Boy, worldwind.............

When would you ever think our lives wouldn't be so busy. I feel I take on way too much, but that's just me. I am still teaching cheerleading, Zumba and Ballet. I am bringing in a new class in January at the Y and it's baton twirling. I will be doing that along w/ cheer and then the Ballet. I am over 1/2 way through my anatomy class and should complete by Dec 5th. Then I will have to attend an 18 hour Pilates certification class, complete 40 hours of student teaching, 20 hours of private instruction and attend 20 mat classes. I have already begun attending my mat classes. I LOVE them. I have never been so sore from stretching and I feel so refreshed afterwards. I have started a new schedule w/ the kids and it seems to be working. I get them up around 7:30-8, get them breakfast and waking up. I attend a 9:30 Yoga Ball class and then I am starting to run this coming week. I have 1 to 2 classes I try to attend each day. Last week was a lot better than this week. It has been raining so I don't go anywhere. I am working back teaching a dance fusion class at HP again on Wednesdays, so that is another cardio workout for me. My Ballet class ends on the 21st of this month, but will pick up again in January. So, when I say I work everyday of the week, I do, but for about 1-2.5 hours and that's it. I have been selling more purses lately and trying to get them loaded on my website. I am still working on that as well. The boys have been going through speach evaluations the last couple of months and we meet next week to discuss their new route. We also FINALLY got a call from the MDO and the boys have been accepted and there are openings!!! I am so excited for them. We are now doing the paperwork and getting everything ready. Savannah is busier than ever, she is in tumbling and now tutoring for Algebra. Brooke just finished volleyball and being the manager for the school volleyball team, she will start again in the spring. We are now looking for club tryouts for volleyball so that she can try out for her school team next year. Dwayne is rocking and rolling at work, busy as usual and doing well. He is making sure he keeps up so that he takes care of us. We are all looking forward to the holidays. We were looking at going home, but thought we will plan for next year at Thanksgiving, for the girls to see snow and we take them skiing. We are also trying to plan for all of us to head to Mexico for vacation. So...................that means, I have to get busy bringing more business in and SAVING money. Anyone that knows me, knows I do not save very well. Dwayne is the manager of our money! he he

Well, that's kinda everything in a nutshell. Hope I covered everything. Will try to pick things up more often soon!

Trying to keep up....................

You know, I really enjoy blogging, but with my schedule it just seems that I don't get to it like I would like to. We all have been super busy with school starting and classes. It's just NUTS! We also went through about 3 weeks of kids being sick. Started with Savannah, then me, then Donnie and now Jimmy. Jimmy has taken a lot longer to get better. He always gets a NASTY cough and it lingers. We are finally on the road to recovery.

This will be my busiest time of the year. I teach classes Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri now. I have Cheer on Mondays, Tues is Zumba, Thurs is Zumba and Friday is NYC Ballet. I am also having to take some extra classes for our December Dance Recital. THEN, Savannah has tumbling on Mondays while I am at class, Her games are on Tuesdays, Brooke' Volleyball practices are on Wednesday nights (while Savannah is at Bible Study), plus Brooke is the Manager for her school Volleyball team which her games and practices are 2-3 a week. So, we are NOT busy at all! YEAH RIGHT! While doing all of this I am working on our website. I had someone build it, but I am having to do all of the "about us" and catalog stuff. Then trying to work out our shipping with a drop shipping company, ordering supplies/equipment for Zumba and learn new choreography. I am NOT complaining that is for sure. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY LIFE~ I can be all over the place and don't get the things done at home as often as I would like, but I am gonna get it before too long.

I am actually in the mood for fall to be here. I was in such a Football mood Sunday it was nuts. I wanted people over and enjoy the weather and steaks, it was fun. I am in the mood to get holiday decorations up and move on to the good times. We had a GREAT summer and can't wait for what's in store for the rest of the year.

Donnie and Jimmy are doing well. They are into EVERYTHING! We are on a waiting list unfortunately for MDO, I am hoping it will open up soon. I would like them in quickly. When I called to have them put on the list, she said they had to be completely potty trained and I freaked. Because we had done well and then BOOM, we were back to diapers. Nightmare! So, I decided I was going to work extra hard and get it done, well we were DONE in 4 days!!!!!!! Both stinking on the potty and we only had 1 accident! That's RIGHT ONE! I was stoked. We are next on the waiting list!

We will keep you posted. I promise to put new pics on here too soon!

Well, Savannah went to her Cheer Camp for WWJH and had a great time. It was a new experience for her, she had to work hard and boy was she tired. They started Monday at 12:45 and went until 10PM. Then they had to get up at 6am everyday to work out and learn their stuff. Supposedly went until 9 or so every night. On Wednesday, I traveled up w/ most of the Cheer Moms and we did dinner and played a learning game about each other (for us Newbies). It was a lot of fun and I really appreciate the warm welcome the Newbies have received. Thursday morning we had breakfast and then went straight to the recreation center to get good seats to watch the girls. They did well. They did have a fall, but received a top ribbon for their performance. Savannah is a flyer!!!!!! TELL YA WHAT, makes me scared to death. They received 2nd place for their Cheer and won Champions (1st Place) for their extreme routine!!!! Way to go Wildcats!!! This actually got them a chance to go to Florida to do it again and in the New Year's Day Parade in Orlando.....BUT the school district doesn't allow Jr High's to participate in this so that the High Schools have the chance for the spots. I am looking forward to the school year and what these girls have to bring!

LONG time no post.............................

Man oh Man, it's been a long time since I have blogged. Well, let's see, lot's has happened. Saturday, May 17th, I had a 14 hour day working and dancing at the YMCA, dance recital. I will post pics and videos soon. (I lost the cord to the camera, UGH). I have to say, I had soooo much fun. It had been a long time since I had danced on stage and it all came right back. Miss it badly! I will be teaching more dance classes in the fall and I WILL be performing in the dance recital from here on out.

Memorial Day weekend, we hit the beach w/ some of the old neighbors and the little kids (girls were w/ their dad) and had a great time. The boys loved the beach and got to play w/ Kaycie in the sand.

The 1st part of June was just as busy because we had Dwayne's Birthday and Father's Day. We had a very small celebration here at the house for his Birthday. We got him a Wii as a gift. We also celebrated Brent's Birthday since it was the day after. We have been super busy with the girls and the boys, as you can imagine.

I just took a weekend trip to San Antonio with the ladies from Zumba and friends. It was a BLAST!!! We have decided that this will be an annual thing! We are also hoping to do a fall trip. We have lots of things planned with our group. Pool Party coming up (ladies only) and then a pajama party with some bedazzling! whoo hoo Lots of fun. I can't wait.

4th of July weekend, we are going over to the Boles Annual 4th of July party and for some of the BEST fireworks, put on by Robbie Nevers! His birthday is that day and always goes all out. Then the girls will be going on Vacation with their dad to Florida. They are excited because their 1/2 brother is visiting from the Navy.

When they get home we are planning our vacation as a family. We were going to South Padre, but I think we will do Galveston for a few days and let the girls take a friend. Hang out at Schlitterbahn and the beach and come home. Then it's getting Savannah off to cheer camp and I have another Cheer camp at the Y. (Which I am running this week as well).

I guess that's where we are and everything I have missed. I will post pics asap. Have a great, safe 4th of July!!!!

Just checking in....

Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know that things are still going well. We had a scare a couple weeks ago and I feel much better about the situation now. My sister, Lesly was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She had her byopsy done last week and one of them is bignign and the other is pre-cancerous cells. They will perform a lumpectomy in the near future and watch it. Needless to say, this scared me. I scheduled my annual and now I have an order for a mammogram myself just to get checked. I will be undergoing an ultrasound this week as well as lab work to check my hormones.

We have been super busy with the girls and myself. I am teaching NYC Ballet now at the Y as well as my other classes and rehearsing for dance recital. I am performing this session as well as leading the cheerleaders. Should be a lot of fun and tiring. I am not as young as I used to be, but hey I can try. ha ha

Savannah's performance is tomorrow night and I am anxious to see how they do. Brooke had a band performance Monday, but I couldn't attend because we were holding a May Fiesta for the gymnastics kids and dress rehearsal for the cheerleaders. Thank goodness for Dwayne, he recorded it for me.

Next week, we hope will calm down a little bit. The girls are going with their dad Memorial Day weekend and Dwayne and the boys and I are going to the beach with some great friends. We can't wait.

I will keep you posted and add more pics soon. Dwayne is downloading them for me. Have a great weekend!

Lots of Love

Well, lots has happened since our last post ( as you can imagine w/ a family of 6 ). The boys got better and we all got rested! YAY! Just in time to start working again. Frank (Dwayne's Best Friend since childhood) came into town and I put him straight to work. We painted our formal rooms and arranged my "anniversary furniture". IF you didn't know I got a new dining room set and a gorgeous bar set for our anniversary. I painted the dining room Wed and Frank and I started on the living Thursday. I ended up getting food poisoning and was sick all Thursday night and Friday. Dwayne took great care of me on Friday while taking care of the boys and painting! But we got it done before the BIG party. Saturday we had a housewarming/anniversary party and OMG, it was incredible. We had a fabulous turnout, probably 50 people. We have made some incredible friends over the years and have new friends that we have made more recently and I have to say, we thank god for them everyday. We had a blast til wee hours of the morning! Thanks to everyone that came and celebrated with us! I will post pictures of the new rooms very soon. I have family coming in Wed and we leave Friday for Lake Charles (a mommy and daddy getaway). Can't wait to float the Lazy River and have a massage w/ my Hubby!

Sick Babies

Wow! When it rains it pours. We started out last week with Jimmy being sick, just lathargic and feverish. Kept saying he had a boo-boo in his mouth. I noticed a little blister, but didn't think too much into it. I kept trying to get him to let me see his teeth. The waking up screaming in the middle of the night and whining was the 1st sign that it could be teeth. Well..........he had 4 molars coming in.

Starting Thursday night Donnie wasn't sleeping either, it was every hour if not more frequent. I would go and get them settled and get back in bed and one of them would be crying again. So, we started w/ the tylenol. Didn't work!!! The next day we found teeth in Donnie's mouth as well and Jimmy still telling us he had a boo boo. Come Saturday, still no sleep, Donnie was running a good fever, 101. That is another sign of teething, so didn't worry too much until lunch. He was crying and rubbing his tongue. I had him open his mouth and his tongue was lined w/ white blisters all along the edge and his tongue was white. I called my mom who is a retired nurse and she thought maybe it was Stomatitis. I did some more research and the symptoms matched. After his fever persisted and they weren't eating or drinking I immediately called the Dr on call and found that it was Stomatitis. The only thing we could do for them is to spread a mixture of benedryl and malox on their tongues. YEAH RIGHT! Try doing that to 3 year olds. He said that it generally lasted 5 days and we were on day 6 with Jimmy and day 4 with Donnie. We continued with the advil/tylenol/motrin with no luck. After 8 days of no sleep or either sleeping on the floor w/ the boys or in seperate beds w/ the boys they are finally over it! YAY!!! It was the hardest thing ever. No sleep, them crying in pain and nothing helped. They lost weight bc they couldn't eat. Just terrible.

We are blessed to say that they are back to themselves and into everything again. LOVE IT! Wouldn't trade this for anything. I felt terrible for them, but we made it through and they are doing fine.

Been a while.....................

Just as anyone can imagine, we have been pretty busy. Since the last post quite a few things going on, but always good stuff.

It started with Savannah making the cheer team and we all went to dinner to celebrate. I am going to be with a GREAT group of ladies. Can't wait to spend more time with them. The girls will be attending a Cheer Camp at Texas A&M University. Savannah is very excited. I will take her up there on Monday and then I will be staying w/ the ladies Wednesday night in College Station, going to dinner/drinks and then we watch the girls perform Thursday and bring them home. It should be a great time. I already have my roomies! he he Savannah has also picked her classes for next year and we are getting some High School credits down. YAY!

Brooke is still deciding what she wants to do w/ her time. She has picked her classes and is pretty excited. She has talked about Tennis, which Dwayne and I both would LOVE for her to do, but ultimately it's up to her. Whatever she decides is fine by us.

As for Dwayne, WOW, he is kicking butt at work. He has just been notified that he won a out of state trip. We are going the 1st weekend in May. I am very excited bc it's to the L'eberge in Lake Charles. It's gorgeous! Check it out! http://www.ldlcasino.com/accommodations. We have a family member from Virginia flying in and she will be taking care of the boys for us and the girls will be staying with their dad. THANKS EVERYONE!

As for me........................ha ha Where do we start? I attended a Zumba Workshop with the Creator of Zumba, Beto Perez! I had an amazing time. He is one heck of a man. Met a lot of new people we call our Zumba Family and hope to see them again. There is an Instructor Convention in October in Orlando, but unfortunately it's on Halloween. I will not miss my children's Halloween, so maybe next time. I am also working on my Pilates and Yoga certifications. Pilates will be happening a lot faster than the Yoga (that's a long process). I have picked up a couple of classes at the Y and I am working on our dance for the Dance Recital. I will be performing 3 numbers this time around. I am very anxious bc it has been a while since I have performed. Can't wait. I will also be dancing in Carolyn Robert's Dance Recital to promote my Zumba classes more. Thanks to some of my girls, we will be getting down~

Dwayne and I are coming up on our One Year Anniversary and I can't believe it's been a year. We will be celebrating in style. We have a childhood friend of D's coming to stay with us and will be having a party with friends to help us celebrate. We will be doing some portraits about the same time. We are feeling truly blessed for all we have and our marriage. It is still in the Honeymoon stages and boy, we love that.

We are hoping this summer to take a family vacation somewhere (South Padre or Corpus) bc for the 1st time, we will not be going home. Then D and I hope to take a honeymoon at some point and time. Just hoping all things continue they way they are bc we couldn't ask for more.

Friends and family that read this, let's get together at some point and time and celebrate our friendship and love. Have a great rest of the week and weekend~We love you all.

TGIF!

Well, Friday is finally here and wow am I excited. Today has been a lot of fun. I took the boys to the Drop and Shop at the YMCA and spent some time alone! OMG, I had no clue what to do. So, I got my nails done, brows done, went shopping at Target, Sallys and ended up having lunch with some of the neighbors. It was a really strange day bc I couldn't figure out what I wanted to do with 4 hours of FREE time. It actually was very nice bc I didn't have to worry with someone wanting something or taking too long to get somewhere, I just did my thing! I will definitely take advantage of this program again. I love the people that work w/ the kids at the Y, Richard and Sharon are the best and love the boys, so I am very comfortable with them being there. I picked them up and they came home and went right down for a nap, so I did some catch up work on the computer and cleaned. Now we are ready for the weekend. We are hanging out tonight with some of the old neighbors and then riding motorcycles tomorrow and chilling on Sunday. I am ready, in a great mood and love life!

WAY TO GO GIRLS!!!!

Well Savannah and her little group made it to perform in the End of the School Year Dance. They only had 2 7th Grade groups make it and they were one of them. WAY TO GO GIRLS! We are so proud of you.

They choreographed their routine themselves.

Updates....

Well, let's see.......it never fails with a household of 6 that we would be busy as all get out, but we are. We are getting ready for the weekend, which will be motion packed.....with Brooke going to her Dad's, Savannah going on a church retreat with a friend and then Dwayne and I taking a ride through the back roads with our friends on Saturday on the motorcycles. Then he has started cooking crawfish again on Sundays, just a little earlier. So today, I am doing my usual weekly house work (try to keep it up) and then getting the girls ready for the weekend. We are also trying to find a babysitter for Saturday (that is always the hardest part for us). We can make plans all the time, but it's very hard to get babysitters anymore that you can trust. We had one but she has seem to slip away and likes to be on the computer a lot more. So, starting over.....

We have had a crazy week. Brooke's working hard with the yearbook club and trying to get things finished. She has been working closely with the Principal at the school for her contributions. Savannah has had rehearsal all this week (with her girlfriends), they are auditioning TODAY for a spot in the End of the School Year Dance. So, GOOD LUCK Savannah, Brooke and Jessica!!!!!! We have also been practicing on our tumbling because she will be trying out for 8th grade Cheerleading squad.

I have to say that I couldn't be more proud of my girls. Brooke for the 1st time in her life made straight A's and Savannah is still pulling A/B honor roll. We have just chosen their classes for next year and it's funny bc they are so different. Savannah is sticking w/ dance and Brooke wants to do PE. I love their differences because it makes them who they are.

Since a few weeks ago, we have changed some house rules and WOW all I can say is, what a difference. The girls seem to get a long better and with each of them having their own things to do, they don't see each other as often so they are nice to one another. he he

Dwayne and I are coming up on our one year anniversary in a couple of months and OMG, I couldn't imagine anything less. He is one of the most incredible men you will ever meet. Love him to death.

We have some excitment coming with rodeo, Cookoff and I am working it again. Dwayne will be entertaining clients this year a bit more so we will be struggling with that. He has had to turn down quite a few bc of the babysitting situations, but he will figure out a way to keep them happy. Also, my Zumba group is going to San Antonio to celebrate all the weight loss in May! I am very proud of these ladies and cannot wait to celebrate with them!

Well, back to the house cleaning while the boys are down. Hope all is well with everyone and take care!

Love to you all!

That 2nd picture.....

I posted yesterday looks as if I have 2 sets of twins! OMG, the girls look so much alike. I was also looking at the family picture and Savannah looks like me from the nose up! ha ha

I tell you, after the last week, I will never ever forget what I learned. I have learned that my children could never be replaced. I will never be selfish and will provide as much as I can for my family each and every day! I love my family and god has given me so much to be thankful for. I am truly blessed to have the family I do. I haven't forgotten my friends either! I have a great group of friends that I wouldn't trade for the world. I wish we could see more of each other!

I hope everyone today has a wonderful love filled day and realizes how special each and every one of you are!

Hugs and kisses from all of us!

It's Been FOREVER............

since my last post. I can't even remember when. We have been dealing with sick children, sick mommy, school, classes and just plain fun.

I do have a couple of pics to post. We finished decorating our den! When my mom and sister were here we seemed to get it finished. Now all that's left is painting, which will come at a later date.
The 1st picture is before and th 2nd is after!

Busy Bees

Well, again it seems that life takes me away from posting. We have been super busy since my mom and sister left keeping the house up and shopping for dining room furniture and just the daily stuff in life. We also have had some issues at our rental property, but I feel we have finally gotten through that. Everything should be complete Wednesday!

Well, yesterday was a big day! It was my birthday and I have to admit, it was a GREAT one! We have come to realize that we have INCREDIBLE friends and LOVE THEM VERY DEARLY. Dwayne is just an awesome husband. He tried to make plans for us to go out for dinner Sat night, but we had some problems with babysitters and the rental house, so we decided to put it off til Sunday. We gathered some friends together for a nice long motorcycle ride and lunch. We started out here at the house with a toast given by my husband and friends (Laura, Steve, Mark, Taylor and the kids). Then off to Redfish for lunch! My favorite place of all times. We ate sushi and laughed. Our new found friends, Ken and Ann met us there to join the ride. We left there and headed on the scenic route to Papas on the Lake in Conroe. BEAUTIFUL ride. We love to go there bc of the scenery on the way. We then headed back towards home and ended up at Molly's Pub (little hole in wall) but great people. We had some birthday cocktails and played Buck Hunter and then headed on home. Thanks to Taylor, whom kept the kiddos, we got to enjoy each other's company for a few hours uninterrupted.

Dwayne and I cherish every moment we have with our friends bc we love each and everyone of them. All of us look forward to spending time with each other. We are excited that we will have that chance again this weekend for SuperBowl. We are very excited. I am downloading pics from yesterday and will post them asap. Lots of fun!

Sad Day!

Well, it has been forever since I have been able to post, but for very good reasons. My mother and sister were here. My mom came in Christmas Eve and we moved everything in and got unpacked and somewhat organized. My sister then came in on the boys' birthday and they both left today. We are just about done unpacking, mostly my room left, but that's it. Got everything hung and now trying to get our sick girls better. Brooke got sick the day of the boys' birthday party and then Savannah came down w/ it Sunday. UGH!

I will post more soon and hopefully some updated photos of the new rooms!
